River Clean Up Event at Neponset Landing

Description

Join the BSCES YMG and SEA Massachusetts in supporting the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and the Massachusetts Neponset River Watershed Association (NepRWA) by helping to clean up the Neponset River and its riverfront parks. Volunteers will be divided into groups to remove months’ worth of trash and litter from the parks. Space for this volunteer opportunity is limited. Once all spots are filled, additional signups will be placed on a waitlist and notified if openings become available. 

The 2026 Neponset River Spring Cleanup event is held in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and the Neponset River Watershed Association (NepRWA). The DCR manages more than 450,000 acres of state parks, forests, beaches, and watersheds, serving as the primary steward of Massachusetts’ natural, cultural, and recreational resources. NepRWA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to hands-on restoration projects, student education about water resources, and working with communities to prevent water waste and pollution.
