Harvard University’s recently completed David Rubenstein Treehouse is the university’s first mass timber building and university-wide conference center. Located on the University’s Enterprise Research Campus (ERC), the Rubenstein Treehouse was designed to be a state-of-the-art convening and innovation hub. The 55,000 sf structure is a low-carbon, high-performance building that can accommodate meetings and events for the Harvard community and beyond.
This presentation and tour will highlight the innovative elements of this unique structure. The team will discuss the successes and challenges of mass timber architecture, design, and construction.
