Join us for a free 1-hour webinar on an overview of Professional Practice: A Guide to the Practice of Architecture, Engineering, and Land Surveying in Massachusetts given by Paul Tyrell, PE, PLS Chair of the Board of Registration for Engineers and Land Surveyors. Paul Tyrell, a practicing Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor, will provide attendees with an overview of professional licensure, common complaints received by the Board against engineers and surveyors as well as insight on other professional licensure issues. Joined by Mr. Tyrell is Paul Campbell, PE, PLS, President of MALSCE, who will be providing practical guidance to current and prospective licensees on best practices for 250 CMR compliance.

In addition to serving as 2025-2027 MALSCE president, Paul is the is the owner and operator of CHESS Engineering, a land surveying and civil engineering firm specializing in land development. Paul has a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Northeastern University, a master’s in public administration from Clark University, and has worked 20+ years in the private and public sectors.

Paul Tyrell is associate vice president at HDR and is an accomplished professional engineer licensed in MA, ME, NH, RI, VT, CT, and NY and a professional land surveyor in MA. He’s a LEED accredited and certified design build professional with 30 years of experience in land surveying, civil engineering and construction management.
